Envelope yourself in the world of “Drifting”, a world‑premiere play by Sacramento playwright Susan Andrews.  “Drifting” is a warm, sharp, and bittersweet new play about reinvention, friendship, and the stubborn myths of getting older. Equal parts wry comedy, tender drama and hard choices when faced with one’s own mortality, it follows a woman navigating the indignity of unemployment and the cultural blind spots that erased her value—until an unlikely seaside companion shows her that repair, resistance, and a little ridiculousness can open doors she never thought to knock on. Honest dialogue, vivid local color, and two richly drawn baby-boomer leads make “Drifting” timely, laugh‑out‑loud, and deeply humane.
